From Port Coquitlam, BC, defender Kadin Chung joined Whitecaps FC Residency in September 2011 after representing his home province of British Columbia. The 2015 Canadian U-17 Player of the Year signed with Whitecaps FC 2 in August 2015, then was ranked 16th on the USL 20 Under 20 list in the following season.

2017: Chung scored two goals in 19 starts and 24 appearances in this third season with Whitecaps FC 2. 2016: Chung started 17 of his 19 regular season appearances in his first full season with Whitecaps FC 2, tallying two assists. His first professional assist came in spectacular spinning fashion in the 3-2 Week 7 win over Tulsa Roughnecks FC, earning himself a USL Team of the Week selection. Chung started each of the 'Caps three playoff matches, assisting in the Western Conference Semifinal win over Oklahoma City Energy FC. Chung was ranked 16th on the USL 20 Under 20 list. 2015: Chung made his second straight substitute appearance in the regular season finale against Austin on September 20, registering a shot on goal, a week after making his USL debut in the 1-1 draw versus Orange County Blues FC on September 13.
2016: Chung participated in the first-team training camp in Portland and was an unused substitute in their 3-1 preseason win over NASL side Minnesota United FC.

2015-16: Chung started 15 of his 16 appearances for Whitecaps FC U-18 Residency. 2014-15: Chung led Whitecaps FC U-16 Residency with 34 starts in 35 total appearances. 2012-13: The Port Coquitlam, BC native played as a developmental player for Whitecaps FC U-16 Residency, starting in four of his five appearances in the regular season.
2017: Chung took part in the Canadian U-20 camp in Toronto and then in an international series with Panama in January. He rejoined the camp in Mexico in the following month. In March, Chung participated in the CONCACAF U-20 Championship, as well as the Qatar U-23 Tournament. 2016: Chung scored a goal for the Canadian U-20 national team in their 2-1 upset friendly win over England in Doncaster in March. He rejoined the team for training camp and a pair of friendlies in Costa Rica in September to October, and in the United States and Honduras in November. 2015: Chung was called up to Canadian U-20 national team training camp in September in Toronto, then was named 2015 Canadian U-17 Player of the Year. 2013: Chung was called up as part of a 30-player group assembled for a three-day prospects evaluation for the U-15 Canadian men’s national team. The camp was held from June 4 through June 6 in Montreal, Quebec.
A product of Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club, Chung served as captain, won league titles, and claimed tournament Most Valuable Player honours during his youth career. This included involvement with Metro-Ford in the BC Soccer Premier League, with the defender last playing for Metro-Ford Spartans. Chung was also a member of the BC provincial team program at the U-13 level.
As a student, Chung attended Our Lady of Fatima Elementary School in Coquitlam, BC, from 2003 to 2011 before moving to Archbishop Carney Regional Secondary School in his hometown of Port Coquitlam, BC. He eventually moved to Burnaby Central Secondary School.
The 5-foot-6 defender’s favourite teams are Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Manchester United, while his favourite players are Portuguese sensation Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United defender Alexander Buttner. The defender would like to play at Manchester United FC’s Old Trafford home one day. When not playing soccer, Chung enjoys playing basketball, hockey, swimming, as well as spending time with friends and family. His favourite foods are sushi and pasta.
