PROFILE
An athletic goalkeeper goalkeeper from Abbotsford, BC, Village joined WFC2 for their inaugural United Soccer League season.

UNITED SOCCER LEAGUE
2017:
Village made his professional debut late in 2017, earning the 1-1 draw against eventual USL regular season champions Real Monarchs SLC on October 7. Village made three saves, including one that was nominated for USL Goal of the Week.

UNIVERSITY
2014: 
In his senior year at the University of Fraser Valley (UFV), Village started six games, recording a 3W-2L-1D record and posting a 1.00 goals against average. Of his three victories, the goalkeeper recorded two clean sheets on the season, first against Thompson Rivers on September 26, followed by an October 17 shutout against Trinity Western. 2013: Playing in a university career high 13 matches, Village finished with a 6W-6L-1D season while recording 57 saves and posting two clean sheets. Village led UFV to their first Canada West medal after defeating the University of Victoria 2-1 in the Bronze medal match. For his efforts on the season, the goalkeeper was named a Canada West Second team All-Conference, as well as being named the Most Valuable Player on UFV. 2012: During his second season at UFV, Village won three games and recorded a career high three clean sheets. 2011:  Village started seven matches and recorded one shutout in his first season with UFV, his one shutout came September 9 against Trinity Western.

UNITED SOCCER LEAGUE PREMIER DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE
2012: In his lone USL PDL season, Village started 15 matches recording a league high 103 saves. On the final match day of the season July 11, Village recorded a season high 11 saves while playing against Vancouver Whitecaps FC for the third time that season. 

YOUTH/AMATEUR
Playing for  Abbotsford Magnuson Ford United Football Club in 2013, Village won two cups in the Fraser Valley Soccer League. The first cup win came in a 3-0 against the Port Moody Gunners to capture the 2013 Pakenham Cup. One week later the two teams met again in the Soccer City League Cup, Village recorded his second consecutive shutout against the Gunners as his team won 2-0.

PERSONAL
A graduate of the Bachelor of Arts, Village is the middle child in a family of five.

INTERESTING FACTS 
Village has played against no less than three current WFC2 players: Chris Serban, Brett Levis and, fellow goalkeeper Spencer Richey. Muhammad Ali’s “A man who has no imagination has no wings” is Village’s favourite quote. The goalkeepers lists the Hunger Game series as his favourite book, The Shawshank Redemption his favourite movie, and Elementary as his favourite show.
