PROFILE
A native of Surrey, BC, Nicholas Fussell previously played with Surrey United SC in the EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League before joining Whitecaps FC Residency in 2016. He began playing with the club's Development Squad in 2018.
 
DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY
2017-18: Started 21 of his 24 appearances for the U-19 team during his final DA regular season, scoring four goals. He added two goals in the playoffs, in which he started five of his six appearances to help the team to the Academy Championship semifinals. 2016-2017: Fussell started 15 of his 25 regular season matches for Whitecaps FC U-18s. He scored five goals in those appearances. Fussell made two appearances in the playoffs, earning one start.  2015-16: Fussell started 11 of his 17 regular season appearances for Whitecaps FC Residency U-16, scoring six goals. He also started two of his three appearances in the playoffs. 
 
YOUTH/AMATEUR
Prior to joining Whitecaps FC, Fussell played with Surrey United SC in the EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League from 2011 through 2015. He was a four-time provincial champion in the BCSPL and was a member of the U-16 national champions. Fussell was also a member of the BC provincial team from 2012 through 2015.

Fussell credits his coach Rob Wilson for pushing him and giving him the opportunity to progress.
