Scott Sutter arrived in Vancouver in January 2019, bringing 16 seasons worth of valuable professional experience in Switzerland and MLS to the Whitecaps FC locker room.
ORLANDO CITY SC
'17-'18: Prior to joining the 'Caps, Sutter played two seasons for Orlando City SC, making 51 appearances, while contributing offensively with four goals and six assists.
SWISS SUPER LEAGUE
'08-'17: Before making the transition to MLS, Sutter spent 14 seasons playing in the Swiss Super League with Grasshopper Club Zürich, BSC Young Boys, and FC Zürich. In that time, he made over 200 league appearances, and played 65 matches in the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and UEFA Cup competition. Offensively, Sutter contributed 13 goals and 31 assists in all competitions.
The English-Swiss dual citizen has made two appearances for the Switzerland national team.

Born to a Swiss father and an English-born mother of Polish descent, Sutter moved to Switzerland from his native England at age 16 to pursue football... During his time with Orlando, Sutter played on the opposite side of the backline as 'Caps teammate and left back PC.
