Vancouver Whitecaps centre back
Shaun Pejic
has been named in the latest USL First Division Team of the Week.

The English-born defender earned his first weekly accolade since joining the 'Caps last month, with the former Wrexham and York City player taking his place in the Week 21 squad after his fine defensive display in last Saturday's 1-1 home draw versus Rochester Rhinos.

The former Wales U-21 international was one of three defenders to be chosen by the league this week. Montreal Impact's Adam Braz and Portland Timbers' Stephen Keel were the other backline players to be picked. Keel's teammate Steve Cronin was selected as the team's goalkeeper.

Five midfielders were also chosen. They include Kyle Brown (Austin Aztex), Scott Buete (Charleston Battery), Ze Roberto (Rochester), and Domenic Mediate (Puerto Rico Islanders). Joseph Kabwe from Carolina RailHawks was the Week 21 Player of the Week after recording a hat-trick and an assist in their 9-0 home drubbing of Miami FC Blues.

The weekly all-star team's attack saw Marco Terminesi (Minnesota Thunder) and and John Cunliffe (Carolina) earn the striking roles following their exploits in front of goal.
