Vancouver Whitecaps midfielder
Gordon Chin
has been named in the latest USL First Division Team of the Week.

The Burnaby, BC, native made the weekly all-star team for Week 23 after recording a goal and an assist in last Sunday's 2-1 home win over Austin Aztex. Chin's match-winner at Swangard Stadium was his first-ever goal for the Whitecaps men's team.

Chin was one of four midfielders to be selected this week. Charleston Battery's Tsuyoshi Yoshitake, Cleveland City Stars' Jason Hotchkin, and Carolina RailHawks' Joseph Kabwe were the other midfielders to be selected.

Three defenders in Lyle Adams (Austin Aztex), John Krause (Puerto Rico Islanders), and Stephen deRoux (Montreal Impact) were chosen, as was Cleveland goalkeeper Evan Bush.

The three strikers to be picked include Minnesota Thunder's Marco Terminesi, Montreal's Peter Byers, and Rochester Rhinos' Johnny Menyongar. Menyongar was also selected as the league's Player of the Week for Week 23 after scoring both goals during last Tuesday's 2-1 win at Miami FC Blues.
