NASL and MRX launch league website

NASL.com launches today The North American Soccer League (NASL) has retained Canadian Internet company MRX to design and launch the league’s official website. The site, NASL.com, launches today. MRX designs and maintains the current website for the Canadian Football League (CFL). "We are very excited to partner with MRX," said Carolina RailHawks President Brian Wellman, who spearheaded the project with his staff. "MRX is a strong company with tremendous experience in creating and operating league websites." MRX is a diverse and experienced sports marketing, media, and management company. Based in Hamilton, Ontario, MRX is an industry leader in events, technology, and promotions working, with numerous high profile clients. MRX created and operates the Canadian Football League's official website, as well as numerous CFL, American Hockey League (AHL), and other sports teams' websites. Their high standards and professional quality work, combined with years of sports and technology experience, have made them the leading full-service event and technology company in Canada. "This is an important project for MRX, and we intend to work with the NASL and its teams to keep the network growing in terms of audience and features," said MRX Vice President for Business Development David Watkins. "Our mutual goal is to encourage fans to regularly explore the NASL online network to fully engage with the league, teams, and players." NASL.com will serve as the portal for all information regarding the North American Soccer League and its clubs. Over the next several months, NASL.com will increase its interactivity, making it the top site for information about Division 2 soccer in North America. ABOUT THE NASL The North American Soccer League (NASL) was established in November 2009 and is comprised of the following active teams: Carolina RailHawks, Crystal Palace Baltimore, Miami FC, Minnesota (whose name is to be determined), Montreal Impact, Rochester Rhinos, AC St. Louis, Tampa Bay Rowdies, and Vancouver Whitecaps FC. For the 2010 season, the NASL's nine teams, together with three teams (Austin Aztex, Portland Timbers, and Puerto Rico Islanders) from the United Soccer Leagues, will play in a second division league established and administered by the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). The league will feature two conferences (NASL and USL) of six teams each, with three NASL teams (Minnesota, Rochester, and Tampa Bay) playing in the USL conference. In 2011, the NASL will be joined by teams in Atlanta and certain other cities to be named at a later date. The NASL and its member teams are committed to building on their long tradition of providing a high level of soccer to fans across the United States and Canada in 2010 and beyond.
