After playing in a pair of matches for Vancouver Whitecaps FC last week, two Whitecaps FC players have been nominated for MLS honours.
Jay Nolly was nominated for MLS Save of the Week following his acrobatic stop on New England Revolution’s Chris Tierney. Up a goal, but down a man, Nolly preserved Vancouver's lead with a fine stop to Tierney's free kick en route to a valiant 1-1 draw.
Camilo has been nominated for the AT&T Goal of the Week following his first-half tally against Houston Dynamo on Sunday. The Brazilian striker received a clever pass from Davide Chiumiento, spun towards goal, and fired a quick shot into the net to draw Whitecaps FC level.
