Whitecaps FC Girls Elite add first player from EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League

Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced today the addition of defender Carley Radomski to the club’s U-18 Girls Elite program. This marks the first time that a player from the EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL) has joined the Whitecaps FC Girls Elite program.

“The launch of the EA SPORTS BCSPL is an important step in taking women’s soccer development to the next level,” said Jesse Symons, Whitecaps FC Girls Elite and women’s head coach. “This is a real milestone for our Girls Elite program and a great example of hard work paying off.”

Radomski comes to Whitecaps FC after most recently playing with Magnuson Ford Mariners FC U-18 girls in the EA SPORTS BCSPL. On top of her club play, the Langley, BC, native has been a part of the BC Soccer Provincial Team program at the U-13, U-14 and U-15 levels.

Additionally, Radomski has recently been named to Canada’s U-17 women’s national team camp in preparation for the upcoming 2012 CONCACAF Women's Under-17 Championship, which runs from May 2 to 13 in Ciudad Guatemala, Guatemala. Joining her on the roster are fellow Whitecaps FC Girls Elite players Jasmine Dhanda, Elissa Neff, and Aman Shergill.

“We are delighted that Carley has been recognized by Whitecaps FC and additionally by the Canadian Soccer Association U-17 staff,” said Ian Knight, Magnuson Ford Mariners FC technical director. “With much credit for her early development going to our partner club, Langley FC, we at Magnuson Ford Mariners FC are obviously very proud that her involvement with our EA SPORTS BCSPL program has given her the platform to be recognized in this way. We look forward to watching Carley fulfill her potential under the guidance of Jesse and the Girls Elite program.”
