Epic.
That word sums up the Canadian women's national team's recent Olympic journey which ended with a well-deserved bronze medal and a legacy that has truly inspired a generation of Canadians.
So it was only fitting then that they received an equally epic welcome home. It was an incredible scene at YVR on Monday as the BC girls returned, including Whitecaps FC alums Christine Sinclair, Sophie Schmidt and Emily Zurrer, as well as Maple Ridge native Karina LeBlanc.
