VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced today that defender Deklan Wynne has been added to the Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) roster in the United Soccer League (USL). Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"Deklan has a cultured left foot and is very comfortable on the ball," WFC2 head coach Alan Koch said. "He comes from a good environment and is willing to learn. We're looking forward to getting him intergrated with the team."

Wynne, 20, was born in Johannesburg, South Africa before moving to Auckland, New Zealand. The 5-foot-10 left back has three international appearances at the senior level for New Zealand, recording an assist in his debut in a 1-1 draw versus China on November 14, 2014.
As a member of the New Zealand U-20 national team, Wynne started all four of the host side's matches at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup, where they bowed out in the Round of 16 to Portugal.
A full-time starter for Wanderers SC in the ASB Premiership, the national association football league in New Zealand, Wynne played the full 90 minutes in all of his 26 appearances from 2013 to 2015. In his youth, Wynne played at East Coast Bays AFC.
Wynne will be available as early as Sunday when WFC2 visit Portland Timbers 2 at Merlo Field. Whitecaps FC 2 are in the midst of their last road trip of the season and will be home on Sunday, September 6 when they host defending USL champions Sacramento Republic FC at Thunderbird Stadium.
