#DefendTheCup: The different scorelines that would see Vancouver lift the Voyageurs Cup on Wednesday at BC Place

Voyageurs Cup - Starting XI - Anthem - BC Place

It all comes down to this.

Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Toronto FC will play for the Voyageurs Cup on Wednesday night at BC Place (7 p.m. PT – tickets still available). After the ‘Caps fell 1-0 in the first leg of the Amway Canadian Championship Final, and keeping in mind that it’s a two-leg aggregate series with away goals as the tiebreaker, here are all the different scenarios for Wednesday’s match.

WHITECAPS FC WIN VOYAGEURS CUP WITH:

  • A win by at least two goals (2-0, 3-1, etc…)

WHITECAPS FC FORCE EXTRA TIME WITH:

  • A 1-0 win

In the event of a 1-0 win, there will be 30 minutes of extra time (two 15-minute halves). The full 30 minutes must be played regardless of any goals scored and the away goals rule remains in effect. If no goals are scored in extra time, the match will be decided by a penalty shootout.

TORONTO FC WIN VOYAGEURS CUP WITH:

  • Any win
  • Any draw
  • A one-goal loss with at least one away goal (2-1, 3-2, etc…)
