What photo on your phone means the most to you?

I have a lot but probably this one where me, my wife, and my son are all praying together.

Q&A: Waston on cooking, crying, and more -

What’s your favourite thing to do in Vancouver?

Wow, that’s a difficult one because I love to go to Stanley Park or to the mountains but one of the most fun things is to rent a boat and ride in the Stanley Park area.

Who is your favourite soccer player?

My favourite soccer player was Didier Drogba.

Did you ever play against him?

No, only with him when I went to the MLS All-Star game.

Why is he your favourite player?

I support Chelsea. I remember when he was there I always loved the way he played. He was a top goal scorer.

What’s the last thing you read?

The bible.

What’s the best advice someone has given to you?

No matter how much fame and money you have always be the same person

How would your friends and family describe you in one word?

Crazy.

What’s been your best moment with Whitecaps FC so far?

The goal that I scored against Colorado in the last game of 2014. It meant a lot because we needed to win to qualify for the playoffs and the game was almost finished when I scored so it was very special.

What’s your favourite hobby away from soccer?

Cooking. That’s the other thing I love after soccer.

Do you have a guilty pleasure?

Eating too much.

What’s the last thing you searched on google?

Craigslist (laughs hysterically). Because I needed to buy a car here.

Which of your teammates would you vote for president/prime minister?

Jordan Harvey because he’s very funny, but at the same time he’s very correct.

When was the last time you cried?

Like one week ago I was with my son and I punished him because he hit his uncle, who is four years older than him. I was punishing him for punching him, and after he said, “I’m sorry daddy, I love you,” so I started crying.

What’s your least favourite thing about yourself, something you want to improve?

In everything. I want to be a better person every day.

If money was no object what’s one thing you would want to do in a day?

If I had all the money in the world I would like to go to people who have nothing and give them food, a house, and help people who need it most.
