Waston jumping celebration

VANCOUVER, BC – Let’s take a quick peek at the Western Conference standings, shall we.

Vancouver Whitecaps FC’s 3-2 win over Real Salt Lake on Saturday night at BC Place has moved them into third in the West, forming a Cascadia top three with Portland and Seattle.

If you take a closer look, though, you’ll notice that Vancouver still has games in hand over every other playoff team in the conference. You’ll also notice that they’re averaging the most points per game. And, finally, you’ll notice that a ‘Caps win on Wednesday against Minnesota United FC would move them into the top spot in the West – level on points with Portland but with one more win. Kickoff for Wednesday’s match is set for 7 p.m. PT and tickets are still available
