Sunday marks 60th anniversary of the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge collapse

VANCOUVER, BC
– Vancouver Whitecaps FC will be participating in the ceremony on Sunday for the 60th anniversary remembering the collapse of the Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Crossing.
Whitecaps FC president Bob Lenarduzzi will be on hand to present the Unity Jersey to the survivors in attendance from the tragedy on June 17, 1958. The ‘Caps steel grey Unity kit was inspired by the Ironworkers of British Columbia.
The event is open to the public. Those who are able to walk longer distances are asked to park further from the ceremony to save spots for elderly attending the event.
