STORYLINES

High-flying at home: The ‘Caps have scored at least two goals in each of their last five matches at BC Place. Most recently, they hammered Orlando City SC 5-2 thanks to a goal and three assists from Alphonso Davies, who was named to the MLS All-Star roster on Friday.

Return of the captain? Kendall Waston, who scored a goal in his World Cup debut on Wednesday, will be in the building on Sunday after returning from Russia. The only question is whether he will see the pitch or be given the weekend off to recover from the long travel.

Midseason mark: Sunday’s match kicks off the second half of the season for Vancouver, who posted a 6W-6L-5D record in their first 17 matches. The ‘Caps enter the weekend just above the Western Conference playoff line.
