Busy stretch: Saturday’s match kicks off a grueling five-match, 15-day slate for the ‘Caps, who are looking to build off last weekend’s thrilling 3-2 win over Chicago Fire at BC Place.


Party crashers: D.C.’s brand-new Audi Field will open its doors for the first time and all-time Manchester United and English national team leading goalscorer Wayne Rooney is expected to make his MLS debut. Can the ‘Caps spoil the party?


Familiar faces: This will be Vancouver’s first meeting with longtime ‘Caps keeper David Ousted, who joined D.C. in the offseason. United’s roster also features ex-‘Caps striker Darren Mattocks.

Whitecaps FC midfielder Jordon Mutch, who is on loan from Crystal Palace FC, made his English Premier League Debut against Rooney’s Manchester United at Old Trafford Stadium. Mutch was a member of Birmingham City FC at the time. Manchester United won 5-0 and Rooney had two assists.
