VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC confirmed on Friday that attacking midfielder Yordy Reyna has been called up to the Peruvian men's national team for a pair of friendlies in the United States in October.
La Blanquirroja, which means The White and Red, face Clásico del Pacífico rivals Chile at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL on October 12, then face hosts United States at Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford, CT on October 16. The 'Caps host Sporting Kansas City on October 17 at BC Place.
Reyna has two goals in 18 appearances with the Peruvian senior men’s national team, most recently making an appearance in 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying action in October 2017.
The 'Caps are in action tomorrow when they visit LA Galaxy at StubHub Center. Kick off is at 7 p.m. PT, live on TSN1/4 and TSN Radio 1040.
