VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps confirmed on Thursday that defender Kendall Waston has been called up to the Costa Rican men’s national team for a pair of road friendlies this month.
The Ticos visit Chile in Rancagua on November 16, then visit Waston's Whitecaps FC teammate Yordy Reyna and Peru in Arequipa on November 20.
In his last appearance with Costa Rica, Waston scored the lone goal in a 3-1 loss to Colombia.
Waston has five goals and 29 caps for Costa Rica since making his senior international debut in 2013. He finished his 2018 MLS season with three goals and two assists, starting all 26 of his appearances.
