Academy Centre Players of the Month - April 2019

Whitecaps FC Academy Centres are a network of regional training hubs linked through key staff, curriculum, and standards that provide professional supplemental club training for serious, motivated players. Fraser Valley Academy Centre 

Name: Elijah Amendt
What his coaches say: "Elijah has been a pleasure to coach this spring phase thus far! His positive attitude and hard work has really help not only in his technical ability but also his game intelligence, I have notice that Elijah's decision making has really improved recently - well done mate!"
Name: Abbi Oamen 
What her coaches say: "Abbi has been working hard through the phase and it is now really starting to pay off! She was put up into the older group in which she's done very well and even contributing with a few goals - well done Abbi!"

Lower Island Academy Centre
Name: Nila Kirby
Birth Year: 2008
What her coaches say: "Nila is a pleasure to coach and she consistently performs to her very best in every session. I feel this is due to her positive attitude and growth mindset! Traits which have led to Nila’s technical abilities to really improve and being implemented consistently during game play. Well done Nila!"
Name: Parker Montgomery

What his coaches say: "Parker has been a pleasure to coach since his first day with our academy group! His hard work and willingness to learn has really helped improve his technical ability as well as his game intelligence. I have noticed that Parker’s confidence on the ball has increased tremendously of late. Well done Parker!"

What his coaches say: "Aaron has been very engaged and focused over the last month and he has been playing very well. We look forward to seeing Aaron continue to develop in the coming months."

London Academy Centre 
Name: Nicole Astaiza
Birth Year: 2005
Hometown: London, Ontario
What her coaches say: "Nicole joined our 2005 OPDL girls group in the fall and has been a great addition to the team and the program. A respectful, hard-working and passionate soccer player, Nicole always brings a great attitude to every practice and game. She is also a very skilled midfielder with excellent vision and awareness, technique and competitive mindset. A pleasure to coach, best of luck with the start of the OPDL season Nicole."
Name: D'Andre Williams
Birth Year: 2003
Hometown: London, Ontario
What his coaches say: "D'Andre was part of Ontario's U-16 Boys Provincial Team that traveled to Quebec in April to take on Quebec's provincial squad in the Inter-Provincial Competition, scoring two goals in the three games they played. D'Andre is a promising forward who has also traveled to Vancouver twice for the HPP Camps in the last year. Best of luck as you start your summer season D'Andre."

What his coaches say: "Tatum is another new player to join our academy this phase. Her composure on the ball, ability to escape pressure, and decision making has been excellent so far. Well done Tatum."

Sea to Sky Academy Centre

Name: Alia Rogers
What her coaches say: "Since the first session this phase Alia has been an absolute pleasure to coach and she consistently performs well in every session. I feel this is due to her fantastic positive attitude! Alia’s defending in a 2v2 situation has really improved, especially her communication with her teammates. Well done!"
Name: Atticus Bologna
What his coaches say: "Atticus is now really showing the coaches in every session his love of soccer and his determination to try his hardest in every session which is now paying off. Atticus is now becoming one of the leaders in his group and this has really help his performance during games. Well done Atticus!"

Vancouver Academy Centre
