Exraa vs. Skill Shack

Preview: Exraa vs. Skill_Shack in the ONe Final presented by Alpha Esports

It will be a battle of two of the top FIFA gamers in Canada on Friday as reigning Vancouver Whitecaps FC eMLS player Alex “Exraa” Gonzalez takes on first year ‘Caps player Erfan “Skill_Shack” Hosseini in the ONe Final presented by Alpha Esports.

This past season, Exraa – hailing from Regina, Saskatchewan – emerged to represent Whitecaps FC in eMLS after some strong results in the FIFA 19 Global Series. He finished the series as the second highest ranked Canadian and fourth highest ranked in North America. With the ‘Caps, he was a semifinalist of eMLS League Series One, and then a quarterfinalist among the final eight at eMLS Cup.

After a year away, original Whitecaps FC eSports athlete Skill_Shack emerged from the ONe Tournament presented by Alpha Esports. Now he is back to challenge for a pro contract with Vancouver Whitecaps FC

Those were the scores for Skill_Shack during the ONe tournament last weekend, defeating all opponents who came his way to get back to the big stage.

Hosseini – a local player from Burnaby, BC – had been signed as the ‘Caps official gamer in 2018, and at 17-years-old was the youngest player in the circuit at the time. He made it to Round of 16 at the 2018 eMLS Cup, then the semifinals of 2019 League Series One, and the quarterfinals of the 2019 eMLS Cup Western bracket.

Now, Exraa and Skill_Shack will face off in the ONe Final this Friday, November 13 with a 2021 eSports professional contract and $1,000 Sport Chek gift card on the line for the winner
