Crépeau makes World Cup qualifying debut, Cava scores hat-trick for Canada

It was a record performance for Canada on Monday as they defeated the Cayman Islands 11-0 in their second match of qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. It was the first time that Canada's men's national team has scored 11 goals in international play.

Whitecaps FC goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau made his World Cup qualifying debut for Canada, while Lucas Cavallini subbed on in the second half to score a hat-trick.

Whitecaps FC BMO Academy System product Alphonso Davies also notched two goals, with fellow 'Caps academy grad Sam Adekugbe subbing on in the second half.

Canada are back in World Cup qualifying action in June against Aruba and Suriname, all on OneSoccer.
