Maxime Crépeau - Goalkeeper
Time and time again, Maxime Crépeau has come up big for the ’Caps with massive saves to preserve points in key moments. The Canadian international has tallied six clean sheets and registered the fourth longest shutout streak from September 19 to October 17 at 375 minutes. Crépeau also made his first career MLS penalty kick save in a 1-0 home win against FC Dallas on September 25, as he denied the Texas side from equalizing in second half stoppage time to preserve the three points.
Cristian Dájome – Midfielder/Forward
Cristian Dájome has been a key contributor for the ‘Caps on both sides of the ball this season. The Colombian is one of the ‘Caps most dangerous attackers, sitting second on the team in goals with nine and adding four assists. In addition, Dájome sits amongst the top chance creators for the Blue and White in 2021 with 38, while also being able to show his versatility in several positions, including up top at striker, both wings, as well as wing back. As of October 26, Dájome leads the team in touches at 1,370, won the most duels with 195 and ranks third in the league in fouls won with 85.
Ryan Gauld – Attacking Midfielder
Ryan Gauld has burst onto the scene since arriving in Vancouver in August, adding creative dynamism to the ‘Caps offence in the second half of the season. In a short span, the attacking midfielder has become one of the best players in his position in MLS with his impressive eye for a pass and willingness to get involved in the final third. Gauld has registered three goals and four assists in his first MLS season, as well as 2.5 key passes per game, which is tied for second most in the Western Conference and fifth most in the league. The ’Caps are 8W-2L-2D when Gauld plays 45 minutes or more.
Brian White - Forward
Brian White has enjoyed a career-best season with the ‘Caps, leading the team in goals with 11 and adding three assists. White became the seventh ‘Cap to reach double digit goals in the club’s MLS history and also leads the team in expected goals this season with 9.19. In addition, White sits tied for fourth in the league in game-winning goals with four.
