After a hard-fought draw at home this past weekend against Portland Timbers, Vancouver Whitecaps FC are back on the road on Wednesday against another Cascadia rival, Seattle Sounders FC.
Looking back at the team’s last road trip in Montreal on September 21, one lucky ‘Caps fan had the ultimate fan experience through the Chevron Travel with the Team Sweepstakes. Sarah and her husband Ian won the Chevron Travel with Team Sweepstakes grand prize and had the opportunity to travel with Vancouver Whitecaps FC to their match against Montreal Impact.
Highlights of the grand prize included a $1,000 Chevron gift card, a Whitecaps FC merchandise prize pack, the opportunity to be a guest at training, meeting the ‘Caps coaching staff, pitch-side warm-up viewing, and watching Whitecaps FC claim a 3-0 win at Stade Saputo.
The Chevron Travel with the Team Sweepstakes ran from May 1 to June 30. During that time, fans could pick up a series of WFC 2013 player cards and enter to win the sweepstakes online. Sarah was the lucky winner and received a Whitecaps FC experience of a lifetime.
