VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC are back at the top of the overall MLS standings, with a game in hand.

To stay there, they will need to continue their strong road form to start the season, with another tough match this coming Saturday against Houston Dynamo at Shell Energy Stadium.

BACK ON TOP: With Wednesday's win over FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium, Whitecaps FC are back in first place in not only the Western Conference, but the overall MLS Supporters' Shield Standings. With 29 points from 12 matches, the 'Caps are somehow ahead of their incredible pace from last season when they had 27 points from 12 matches.

ORANGE YOU GLAD TO SEE ME: Over the course of their MLS history, the ’Caps hold a slight edge over Houston with an 11W-9L- 7D record. Vancouver is unbeaten in the last three meetings between the sides, posting one win and two draws, including a 1-1 result last August in Thomas Müller's debut at BC Place.

HOLD MY BER...HALTER: The MVP-calibre start to the 2026 season for Sebastian Berhalter continued on Wednesday. The USMNT midfielder is set new career highs with his fifth and sixth MLS goals of the season, bringing him to an impressive 13 goal contributions (6G, 7A) in the first 12 MLS matches. His current red hot form has brought him to a career high four-game MLS goal contribution streak.

  Houston are no slouches.
  Jack McGlynn, Mateusz Bogusz, Guilherme and Lawrence Ennali are all dangerous. 
  This will be a good test for us defensively.

  This will be the third match in a week, and the second in the heat of Texas.

  It was great to see Ranko Veselinović and Thomas Müller both return to action on Wednesday.

• Berhalter is a machine
  He was pivotal in the 'Caps success last season, and so far again this season.
