VANCOUVER, BC - Inbeom Hwang was selected to the MLS Team of the Week following yesterday's three-assist performance versus LA Galaxy, the league announced on Monday.

Hwang's assist output matches a club MLS record, previously set by Alphonso Davies on June 9, 2018 versus Orlando City SC.

His unselfish play and vision were key in the 'Caps thrilling 4-3 road victory, capped off by a breakaway setup of Michaell Chirinos' added-time game-winner.

The South Korean midfielder has had quite a busy week, being named WFC Most Promising Male Player and getting called up to his national team for next month's World Cup qualifiers.

Hwang and Whitecaps FC aim to close out the season on a high as put their three-match undefeated streak on the line against Real Salt Lake, who are looking to improve their seeding for the MLS Cup Playoffs. Kickoff on Sunday afternoon at BC Place is at 1 p.m. Visit whitecapsfc.com for tickets.
