NOTES:

Whitecaps FC head coach Carl Robinson makes two changes to his starting XI from last weekend at Colorado Rapids with Pedro Morales and Cristian Techera replacing Kianz Froese and Kekuta Manneh.

In 16 matches this year, including the Amway Canadian Championship, Robinson has used 16 different starting XIs. Eight different birth countries are represented in the starters: Argentina (x2), Chile, Costa Rica, Denmark, The Gambia, Ghana, United States (x2), and Uruguay (x2).

Goalkeeper David Ousted makes his 62nd consecutive MLS start, including playoffs. The 30-year-old keeper is second only to New York Red Bulls keeper Luis Robles (92) in consecutive MLS matches. This season, Ousted is second in shutouts (6) and wins (6).

Right back Steven Beitashour makes his 124th start in MLS regular season action. The 28-year-old has four assists, including two of his three last year, in 10 previous starts against RSL, which is the most he's recorded against any MLS side.

Centre back Kendall Waston is making his 24th start, including MLS Cup Playoffs and ACC, for Whitecaps FC. Outside of his suspension for yellow card accumulation on October 18, 2014 at San Jose and the first leg of the ACC against FC Edmonton, the 27-year-old defender has played the full 90 in every match since his first start. The towering Costa Rican leads the league in clearances with 101 (74 of them are headed clearances, which is also the most in MLS).

Midfielder Matías Laba is making his 60th MLS regular season start tonight, his 44th with the ‘Caps. The 23-year-old defensive midfielder is second in the league in tackles won (45).

Midfielder Gershon Koffie makes his 100th MLS regular season start today, the first Whitecaps FC player to start all of his 100 MLS regular season games for the Blue & White. The 23-year-old native of Koforidua, Ghana, who is a permanent resident of Canada, joined the club in September 2010 and has made 135 first team appearances.

Whitecaps FC winger Cristian Techera makes his third start, including ACC, and sixth appearance on the year. The native of Quebracho, Uruguay, who turns 23 tomorrow, made his first start two weeks ago against Seattle Sounders FC and was named the Budweiser Man of the Match.

Striker Octavio Rivero has started every MLS regular season match to start the season and is second to only Ousted and Waston in minutes played with 1,145. The 23-year-old Uruguayan is tied for fourth in the league in goals (6). He also leads MLS in shots (48) and is tied for the lead in shots on goal (21).
