Carl Robinson makes two roster changes to his side from last weekend versus Portland Timbers. Centre backs Kendall Waston and Pa-Modou Kah are in, while Tim Parker and the suspended Jordan Harvey are out. Meanwhile, Christian Dean moves to left back after playing centre back in his regular season debut last weekend.
In 24 matches this year, including the Amway Canadian Championship, Robinson has now used 24 different starting XIs. Today’s XI has an average of 26 years and eight months. Six players are 23 years old or younger.
In total, seven different birth countries are represented in the starters: Argentina (x2), Costa Rica, Denmark, The Gambia (x2), Ghana, United States (x2), and Uruguay (x2).
OTHER:
On the substitute’s bench, captain Pedro Morales is dressed for the first time since June 6 at LA Galaxy. The Chilean midfielder missed five straight matches with a left calf strain.
On the injury front, left back Sam Adekugbe will miss his 12th match, including ACC, with a right ankle sprain. The 20-year-old Canadian is back to full training, however, and Robinson said this week that he’s “close” to returning.
