VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC (5W-4L-3D) are set to wrap up their road stretch this Saturday, May 18 with an MLS Rivalry Week clash against Cascadia foes Seattle Sounders FC (3W-6L-4D). The Blue and White will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the Cascadia Cup standings. Kickoff from Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington is set for 7:30 p.m. PT.

The 'Caps and Seattle are tied together as far back as possible for both clubs. As part of North American Soccer League’s Western Division, the two expansion franchises’ inaugural season was 1974. Saturday's match will mark the 153rd meeting between the two sides in official competition.

FOR CASCADIA: In their final match of a four-game road stretch, Vancouver Whitecaps FC are set to shift their focus to the Pacific Northwest as they play their second meeting of the season against rivals Seattle Sounders FC on Saturday at Lumen Field. The Blue and White sit atop of the Cascadia Cup standings with a 2W-0L-0D record thanks to a 3-2 victory over Portland Timbers at the end of March and a 2-0 win at Seattle just under a month ago. Seattle won 2-1 at Portland on Matchday 13 and have moved into second place with a 1W-1L-0D Cascadia Cup record. The 'Caps are looking to win back-to-back Cascadia Cups for the first time since 2013 and 2014.

GAMES DON'T STOP: Saturday's match against Seattle will mark the fifth of nine games in a span of 29 days for the 'Caps and their fourth consecutive away match across all competitions. The stretch continues next week with two home matches as the Blue and White host Canadian Premier League side Cavalry FC on Tuesday, May 21 in the TELUS Canadian Championship quarterfinal second leg, with Vancouver holding a 2-1 lead on aggregate. The 'Caps then host Inter Miami CF on Saturday, May 25 in front of an expected crowd of over 50,000.
