Registration spots still available for 2015 BMO Kickin’ with the ‘Caps Community Clinics presented by BC1

Community Clinics - BC1

Every year, Vancouver Whitecaps FC are proud to host free soccer clinics for kids in various communities in Metro Vancouver. The 2015 BMO Kickin’ with the ‘Caps Community Clinics presented by BC1 are already underway and registration spots for remaining dates are filling up fast!

These free community clinics introduce soccer skills to boys and girls ages seven through 10 and registration is open to youth of all skill levels. Clinics are coached by Whitecaps FC players, coaches and alumni. Activities include skills sessions, a “World Cup” style tournament, and post-clinic autographs with the players and coaches.

This year, clinics are being held in Langley, Surrey, Squamish, North Vancouver, Ladner, Coquitlam and Vancouver.

More than 240 youth attended the first community clinic of the year at Willoughby Community Park in Langley on April 1. Whitecaps FC players Diego Rodriguez, Robert Earnshaw and Tim Parker were in attendance – and of course, Spike the mascot.

These clinics are an equally rewarding experience for youth participants and Whitecaps FC players who have the opportunity to interact with them.

“It’s great – it brings me back,” says defender Tim Parker. “I love working these little camps with the little kids. It makes you appreciate the game.”

These unique community clinics are an experience that kids will not forget. Watch the video below to see what kids and parents can expect at ‘Caps community clinics.

Community Clinics are free* to all participants! Players must register in advance and print their ticket to attend.

Whitecaps FC will be collecting a suggested $5 donation per participant on-site. All donations will be made to the ‘Caps community partner Camp Goodtimes, a unique summer camp for children and teens affected by cancer.

Registration for community clinics is open to the general public. See below for dates, locations and registration links.

There are currently spots still available for clinics in Squamish on May 19, Ladner on May 26, Vancouver on June 12, and Langley on June 23.
