VANCOUVER, BC – Attacking midfielder Ryan Gauld has been named Vancouver Whitecaps FC's Quality Player of the Month for July, presented by GE Appliances.
Gauld started all six of the 'Caps matches in July, recording three goals and four assists, as well as 19 key passes across all competitions. He also played the full 90 minutes in five of those matches.

During the month, the Scotsman became the club's all-time leader in assists during the MLS era, eclipsing the previous record of 26 held by former attacking midfielder Pedro Morales with his assist on Sergio Córdova's second goal against Club León on July 21.
In addition, Gauld reached 50 goal contributions for the club with his assist on Brian White's game-winning goal against Los Angeles Galaxy on July 30.
So far in 2023, Gauld has started 26 of his 27 appearances across all competitions, tallying eight goals and a team-leading 10 assists. The playmaker has also been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday a team-high six times (Matchday 11, Matchday 14, Matchday 16, Matchday 21, Matchday 25, Matchday 26).
