Welcome home!

Vancouver Whitecaps FC return to BC Place on Friday night to host expansion side Los Angeles Football Club for the first time (tickets still available). Heading to the match? Here's everything you need to know.

Kickoff update: Kickoff for Friday’s match has been changed to 7:01 p.m. PT sharp, instead of the previous time of 7:38 p.m. PT. Doors open at 6 p.m. PT and pre-match festivities on Terry Fox Plaza kick off at 5:30 p.m. PT (weather dependent).

Happy Hour: $5 beers will be sold via hawkers in the supporters' section stands (sections 248-207) in the hour prior to kickoff (6 to 7 p.m. on Friday). Make sure to get into the building early to take advantage of this great deal (offer only available to those with tickets in the supporters' section).

Harvey’s homecoming: Jordan Harvey, Whitecaps FC’s all-time MLS appearances leader, will be honoured in a special presentation after warmup concludes at approximately 6:39 p.m. PT. As a result, the Vancouver Southsiders have cancelled their March to the Match.

Remembering the Humboldt Broncos: There will be a moment of silence following the opening procession and prior to the national anthems to remember those lost in the recent tragedy involving the Humboldt Broncos. The captain’s armband will feature the Humboldt Broncos logo, and all players will wear armbands honouring all those affected by the tragedy.

Daffodil Day: April is Daffodil Month supporting the Canadian Cancer Society. Volunteers will be collecting donations for Daffodil pins at ‘Caps Kickoff and on the concourse. All funds raised help support people living with cancer and their families.

Kid Captain: Friday’s Kid Captain of the Match is Faris Abdulwahab, a 14-year-old patient from BC Children’s Hospital living with brittle bone disease. Faris will be honoured in the supporters’ section pre-match by the Vancouver Southsiders.

Welcome home: Canadian Paralympic snowboarders John Leslie and Colton Liddle will be in attendance, and will be recognized at the match after recently representing our country in PyeongChang.

50/50 credit and debit card option: Fans will now have the option to purchase 50/50 tickets by credit card, debit, or cash – in support of the club’s community partner BC Children’s Hospital.

Water bottle policy: Hard-sided bottles, cans or cups (including glass, metal, hard plastic, ceramic and other materials) are not permitted into the stadium. Empty, refillable, clear and opaque soft-walled plastic water bottles (with or without lids) are permitted into the stadium and are subject to search at the gate. Bottles can be filled with water at drinking fountains located on the main concourse. Bottled water can also be purchased from concessions.

Bag policy: As per last year, the bag policy remains in effect. In compliance with MLS policy, no bags larger than 14’’x14’’x6’’ will be permitted into the stadium and must fit into the sizing bin available at each gate.

Bike Valet: Now located at the bottom of the staircase in front of Gate C on Griffiths Way.
