Career Summary

A promising and hardworking striker, Anthony Blondell joined Whitecaps FC in November 2017 after leading Monagas SC to the Venezuelan Primera División championship, and having recently made his international debut with the Venezuelan national team. 

2018: In his first MLS season with Whitecaps FC, Blondell recorded a goal and an assist in eight starts and 18 appearances. He also made one start in two appearances in his first foray into the Canadian Championship.

VENEZUELA
2017:
Blondell enjoyed a successful final season in the Venezuelan Primera División, leading the league with 24 goals, including eight game-winners, in addition to six assists in 35 starts and 39 appearances. In his only year with the club, he helped Monagas SC win the Torneo Apertura and Serie Final titles, scoring a goal in the second leg of each series. He also made one substitute appearance for Monagas in the Copa Venezuela. 2014-16: Blondell spent three seasons with Zamora FC, scoring five goals in six starts and 32 league appearances. He helped the side to the Primera División titles in 2015 and 2016. In addition, he also made one start in five combined appearances in the 2015 Copa Sudamericana, 2015 Copa Libertadores, and the 2016 Copa Venezuela. 2012-14: Blondell began his professional career with Yaracuyanos FC, scoring four goals in 30 starts and 40 appearances in two seasons of league play. 

INTERNATIONAL
Blondell made his senior international debut for Venezuela in November 2017 in a friendly against Iran.
