After a terrific regular season, Vancouver Whitecaps FC women have qualified for the 2011 W-League Western Conference final. A 0-0 draw between Santa Clarita Blue Heat and Pali Blues on Sunday ensured that Whitecaps FC would enter the postseason and remain in contention for their third United Soccer Leagues W-League title.

The 'Caps will now travel to face Santa Clarita on the road next Sunday, July 24, at 7 p.m. PT. Hubert Busby Jr.'s side will be looking to avenge a pair of defeats at the hands of the Blue Heat this year - the 'Caps only two losses of the season. Whitecaps FC fell 5-2 at Santa Clarita on June 5 and 2-1 to the Blue Heat on July 8 in Penticton, BC.

Should the 'Caps triumph against Santa Clarita and win the Western Conference final, they'll qualify for the 2011 USL W-League Championship 'Final Four', hosted by the Seattle Sounders women. The W-League semifinals and final will be held July 29 to 31 at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, Washington, with the championship match to be televised nationally on Fox Sports World Canada.
