‘Caps in the Community Matchday Partner - Breakfast Club of Canada

Breakfast Club of Canada ensures that children start off the day with the most important meal of the day. The number of children in vulnerable areas who may arrive at school without having eaten is steadily increasing. In Canada, nearly one in seven children are at risk. Breakfast Club aims to improve the children’s chances of success and ensure that they keep trusting in their dreams and abilities by helping them grow one breakfast at a time. Make sure to visit their booth at ‘Caps Kickoff on matchday!

Kops’ Shades for Kids - Vancouver Police Foundation

The Vancouver Police Foundationhas reintroduced its arresting Kops’ Shades for Kids campaign this summer. The campaign, back by popular demand, connects the public to the police through iconic, mirrored aviator sunglasses - a signature look inherently tied to police. All proceeds from the campaign fund important community outreach programs that are primarily focused on inner-city kids and at-risk youth, such as the VPD summer soccer camp, which is organized in partnership with Vancouver Whitecaps FC. By leading and organizing ongoing activities with vulnerable youth, we can help them gain skills and self-confidence for a brighter future. The Campaign also seeks to strengthen the link between the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) and the community it serves. The sunglasses cost $20 each and are available on the Vancouver Police Foundation website. Be sure to visit the Vancouver Police Foundation booth at ‘Caps Kickoff to get your new shades!
