- Whitecaps FC head coach Carl Robinson keeps the same back five for the fifth consecutive match but makes four changes to the front six. Russell Teibert replaces Andrew Jacobson, Christian Bolaños is in for Kekuta Manneh, Pedro Morales returns from injury and replaces Nicolás Mezquida, and Masato Kudo is in for Octavio Rivero. Matías Laba and Cristian Techera both started against FC Dallas last Saturday.
- Morales returns to the starting XI after missing three matches with a left hip flexor. Prior to the injury, Morales had started the first five matches, scored four penalty kicks, and added one assist.
- Harvey and Ousted are the only two Whitecaps FC players who have started every match this season.
- In total, eight different birth countries are represented in the starters: Argentina, Canada (x2), Chile, Costa Rica (x2), Denmark, Japan, United States (x2), Uruguay.
