VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC confirmed Sunday that first-team goalkeeper Stefan Marinović and Whitecaps FC 2 defender Deklan Wynne have been called up to the New Zealand national team for their upcoming two-leg playoff against Peru for a berth in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The Kiwis host the first leg in Wellington, New Zealand on November 11, before the scene shifts to Lima, Peru for the second and decisive leg on November 15.

Marinovic and Wynne will go up against a Peru side that features Whitecaps FC attacking midfielder Yordy Reyna.

New Zealand earned the slot in the inter-confederation playoff after winning the OFC World Cup qualifiers, with Marinović starting every match for the Kiwis. He has 22 caps in his international career, and also manned the net for each of the 'Caps MLS Cup Playoffs matches.

Wynne has 13 international appearances, including three of the Kiwis' four World Cup qualifiers in 2017.
