‘Caps draw 2-2 with CF Monterrey

MONTERREY, MEXICO
 – In their first of three matches in Monterrey, the Whitecaps FC Development Squad played to a 2-2 draw against a side from Liga MX club CF Monterrey on Monday.
Thomas Raimbault
scored the first goal for the ‘Caps, with the second coming from
Emiliano Brienza
 on an assist from
Patrick Metcalfe
. The two goals conceded came on a penalty kick and corner kick.

The 'Caps twice came from behind to equalize, then finished the match strong as they pushed for a winner.

 all generated close chances to take the victory.
“There were a number of strong performances from our group,” said head coach Nick Dasovic. “Today was a good start, and that should set us up well for the rest of the trip.”
The next match for the ‘Caps comes on Thursday against University Tecnológico de Monterrey.
