Enough is enough. Vancouver Whitecaps FC forward Theo Bair took to social media this week to share his thoughts in the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd. Read his full statement below.

"Given my platform, I have a responsibility to speak out.

As a young black man, today I’m saddened, enraged, frustrated, and simply disappointed. But with all these emotions running within me, I know I need to stand and have a voice.

For far too long black people have been oppressed, and without any methods that bring real change. We should not have to live in fear, we should not have to wonder if we are next. The reality of it all is, we must educate one another, and fight for equality. This isn’t a trend, this isn’t for Instagram, this is our lives and our futures. The time is now. Fight for this. Enough is enough.

I am Thelonius Bair and I stand for my brothers and sisters.

#BlackLivesMatter"
