HOLLYWOOD: Sunday's match features Whitecaps FC visiting LA Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park - a place where the 'Caps won earlier this season. Back in Week 2, VWFC came out 1-0 winners to spoil Chicharito's home debut in what turned out to be their last outing prior to the four-month hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
HIGHLAND: Whitecaps FC arrive on a high following an impressive victory over LAFC midweek for their second consecutive win, with marquee striker Lucas Cavallini scoring three goals during the streak. The Galaxy are looking to salvage their season and reverse their recent trend, having lost six straight and winless in seven.
IN-N-OUT: The road trip to Carson will see the 'Caps touching down on matchday and flying out following the game once again. It will be the 'Caps final travel leg during the MLS regular season as they wrap up their schedule with four matches at Providence Park.
CAPITOL RECORDS: With his next appearance, midfielder Russell Teibert will set a new club MLS regular season record with 180, passing Jordan Harvey. The club's all-time MLS leader with 86% passing accuracy (min. 34 games played), Teibert has seen his minutes increase gradually in the last three outings after missing three games due to injury. The Galaxy have a pair of veteran midfielders of their own in Sacha Kljestan and Sebastian Lletget, whose play will be key in setting up Chicharito and recent acquisition Yony González.
