Academy Playoffs: U-17s finish season with 3-2 comeback versus Philadelphia Union

OCEANSIDE, CA – Vancouver Whitecaps FC U-17 Residency wrapped-up their season on Saturday with a 3-2 comeback win against Philadelphia Union at the Academy Playoffs.


Philadelphia took a 1-0 advantage into halftime, but Brandon Cambridge scored to equalize for the ‘Caps early in the second half. After the Union again took the lead, Christian Campagna brought the Blue and White level once more. Finally with just over 10 minutes to go, Nathan Demian scored the winner for the 'Caps.


Next up for the Residency program is a quarterfinal match for the U-19s on Monday. They will face Sockers FC at 2 p.m. PT, with the winner advancing to the Academy Championship semifinals on July 8 in Kansas City, Missouri.
