Canada Soccer has announced its Boys' U-15 National Team squad for the upcoming Concacaf Boys’ U-15 Championship, set to be played from August 2 to 10 in Alajuela, Costa Rica. Four players from the Whitecaps FC BMO Academy have been named to the roster including goalkeeper Isaiah Chahal, defenders Manav Badwal and Henry Hudspith and midfielder Hunter MacGowan, while midfielder Stephan Mantilla is an alternate.
Canada will participate in League A, reserved for the eight highest-ranked national teams and the guest team. CANM15 has been drawn into Group B, where they will play Costa Rica on August 4, Saudi Arabia on August 6 and USA on August 7 in the group stage. The top two teams from each group will face off in the semifinals, followed by the winners of the semifinals in the final on August 10.
Canada have finished third place at the Concacaf Boys’ U-15 Championship on two occasions (2017, 2019) and most recently finished fifth at the 2023 edition of the tournament.
