WEEKLY STORYLINES

CANCHAMP THREE-PEAT: Following a four-game road stretch, Vancouver Whitecaps FC return to BC Place this week for a pair of key home matches. First up, the 'Caps face CPL side Cavalry FC on Tuesday in the second leg of the TELUS Canadian Championship quarterfinals, carrying a 2-1 lead on aggregate thanks to a pair of away goals from Levonte Johnson in the first leg. Having come out as champions of the last two editions of the tournament, the Blue and White will be aiming for the three-peat this year to keep their status as Canada's best. In fact, during Vanni Sartini's reign as head coach, the 'Caps have posted a record of 10W-1L-2D against Canadian opposition across all competitions.

OUTSHINE THE HERONS: The 'Caps second home match of the week sees them host Eastern Conference side Inter Miami CF on Saturday in the first-ever meeting between the two teams. Over 50,000 fans are expected at BC Place for the match as Vancouver looks to slow down Miami's red-hot start to the season. Saturday's opposition features former 'Caps midfielder Julian Gressel, who was part of the 2022 and 2023 Canadian Championship-winning teams.
