Spectator Information: 'Caps look to advance in TELUS Canadian Championship on Tuesday at BC Place

Voyageurs Cup at BC Place

VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC will look to advance to the semifinals of the 2024 TELUS Canadian Championship on Tuesday when they host Canadian Premier League (CPL) side Cavalry FC.

Tickets to this match are included for all Whitecaps FC season ticket members. Single match tickets are available at ticketmaster.ca/whitecaps.

Below is important information for anyone attending the match.

Cup competition

  • Whitecaps FC enter the second leg with a 2-1 advantage from the first leg in Calgary
  • A win or draw would see the 'Caps advance
  • Cavalry must score at least two goals at BC Place to advance
  • Should the CPL side win by two or more goals, or win by one while scoring at least three goals, they would win the series outright
  • A 2-1 Cavalry win would take the series to a deciding shootout

The winner will advance to the semifinals. The draw for the semis will take place next Wednesday, May 29. The first leg of the semifinal will be July 9-10, and the second leg on August 27-28.

Kid Captain

Whitecaps FC are honoured to have Farian Miah from Canada SCORES BC as Kid Captains for Tuesday's Canadian Championship home match against Cavalry FC.

Farian is an exceptional individual, known for his kindness, cooperation, friendliness, and respectfulness. He recently became a part of the Canada SCORES after-school program at Lord Kelvin Elementary School in New Westminster, where he has been excelling in soccer, poetry, and community service, gaining numerous valuable skills over the past two years. Farian's confidence and social skills have significantly improved due to his active participation in the program and his ability to cultivate strong friendships with others. Additionally, he has begun developing his leadership skills and consistently gives his all on the soccer field. During the winter season, Farian composed a beautiful poem titled "HOW GRATEFUL I AM" and performed it at the Red-Carpet Poetry Slam, and won first place.

Tuesday's Supporter of the Match will be Aaron Donovan from the Prawnsiders.

Aaron has been a supporter since 2015, and recently became a season ticket member.

His favourite moment was Alphonso Davies' two goal, two assist game.
