DICE THE DYNAMO: Vancouver Whitecaps FC are set to wrap up their five-match MLS road stretch with a pair of Western Conference showdowns. First up, the 'Caps travel to Texas to face Houston Dynamo FC on Wednesday, July 16 - their fifth midweek visit to Houston since 2021. Vancouver will also look to extend their unbeaten run in Texas, having posted a 3W-0L-2D record in their last five visits to the Lone Star State.
TOP OF THE WEST AFFAIR: The road trip continues as the 'Caps head to California for a first-ever visit to expansion side San Diego FC at Snapdragon Stadium. Vancouver will be seeking redemption after falling 5-3 in an entertaining encounter at BC Place on June 25. Saturday’s top of the West clash could prove pivotal in the battle for first place and home-field advantage in the MLS Cup Playoffs.
ALL-STAR 'CAPS: A league-high four Whitecaps FC players have been selected for the 2025 MLS All-Star Game, set for Wednesday, July 23 at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas. The selections include goalkeeper Yohei Takaoka, who leads MLS in clean sheets with nine, defender Tristan Blackmon, a strong candidate for MLS Defender of the Year, midfielder Sebastian Berhalter, who has recorded a career-best 10 goal contributions, and forward Brian White, who has scored 15 goals across all competitions. A full week of events is scheduled in Austin leading up to the marquee matchup against the LIGA MX All-Stars.
