VANCOUVER, BC – After picking up a road victory over Sporting Kansas City on Wednesday, Vancouver Whitecaps FC (6W-5L-4D) return home to BC Place this Saturday, June 1 to host their '70s Match, presented by Recycle BC, against Western Conference side Colorado Rapids (6W-6L-4D). Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT.

Saturday's match will mark the 32nd MLS meeting between the 'Caps and Colorado. It is also the second and final meeting between the two teams this season. The previous meeting at BC Place came in April 2023, which saw goalkeeper Yohei Takaoka make a late penalty kick save to preserve a point.

'70s MATCH: Vancouver Whitecaps FC play their ninth match in 29 days this Saturday as they host their '70s Match against Colorado Rapids at BC Place. Fans are invited to relive the glory days of the 1970s Whitecaps with a trip down memory lane to celebrate the first decade of ‘Caps soccer, highlighted by the legendary 1979 NASL Soccer Bowl title. The match will also mark the second meeting of the season against the Rapids, with the two sides playing two weeks ago at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado.

GAULD STAR: Coming off a mid-week 2-1 victory over Sporting KC on the road, Ryan Gauld finds himself as one of the most in-form attackers in MLS. The Scotsman bagged a brace in the win - the 13th time in his 'Caps career he's tallied multiple goal contributions in one game - and has now scored four goals in his past three MLS appearances. Gauld has also recorded nine goal contributions in his last 12 MLS appearances and is one of two players to appear in every match across all competitions this season.
