HOUSTON HAD A PROBLEM: Vancouver Whitecaps FC claimed a big 3-0 road victory over Houston Dynamo FC in mid-week action, vaulting themselves up to second in the Western Conference. The win marked the quickest the 'Caps have reached over 40 MLS points in a season - achieving the feat in 22 games - and the club's second-ever win in Houston. In addition, Emmanuel Sabbi found the back of the net for his third goal in his last five appearances, Sebastian Berhalter recorded his fifth goal of the season, Brian White scored his 99th career goal, and Yohei Takaoka recorded his league-leading 10th clean sheet of the MLS season.

TOP OF THE WEST AFFAIR: The road trip continues as the 'Caps head to California for a first-ever visit to conference leaders San Diego FC at Snapdragon Stadium. ALL-STAR 'CAPS: A league-high four Whitecaps FC players have been selected for the 2025 MLS All-Star Game, set for Wednesday, July 23 at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas. The selections include goalkeeper Yohei Takaoka, who leads MLS in clean sheets with 10, defender Tristan Blackmon, a strong candidate for MLS Defender of the Year, midfielder Sebastian Berhalter, who has recorded a career-best 11 goal contributions, and forward Brian White, who has scored 16 goals across all competitions. A full week of events is scheduled in Austin leading up to the marquee matchup against the LIGA MX All-Stars.
