Spectator Guide: Concacaf Champions Cup versus Seattle Sounders FC

VANCOUVER, BC – The Concacaf journey continues, and against a familiar foe.

This coming Thursday, March 12, Vancouver Whitecaps FC host the first leg of the Concacaf Champions Cup Round of 16 against rivals Seattle Sounders FC at BC Place.

Tickets remain available at ticketmaster.ca/whitecaps, with all options at whitecapsfc.com/tickets.

Below is important information for fans attending Thursday's match.

Water Bottle Policy

  • As per Concacaf policy, please note that outside water bottles are not allowed for this event
  • Cups will be provided at concession stands for use at water-filling stations on the concourse

Format

  • This is the first leg of a two-match aggregate series
  • The team with the most goals over the two matches will advance to the next round
  • The away goals tiebreaker is in effect
  • The second leg will be played next Wednesday, March 18 at ONE Spokane stadium in Spokane, Washington
  • The team that advances will face either MLS side FC Cincinnati or Mexcian side Tigres UANL in the quarterfinals April 7-9 and April 14-16

  • Open at 6:00 p.m. PT
  • Suite entrance opens at 5:30 p.m. PT
  • Please note that new turnstiles will be used at Gates C, E, and G
  • Enter the stadium early to avoid longer wait times

  • Many areas will be filled with standing, chanting and singing
  • Visiting or rival team colours (Seattle Sounders FC) and expressions of visiting team support are not permitted in the Whitecaps FC Supporter Sections
  • Visiting and rival team supporters may be relocated to another part of the stadium

Clear Bags/Bag Check

For the best stadium entry experience, Whitecaps FC and BC Place recommend fans do not bring a bag to the stadium. If you do:

  • Clear plastic smaller than 12”x12”x6”
  • One small opaque bag, but it can’t be larger than 6.5”x 8.5”
  • Bag check is available at Gates C and H (very limited space)
  • Exceptions for diaper bags and medically necessary items
  • All bags will be inspected prior to entry
