Spectator Information: Author Farhan Devji to sign copies of Alphonso Davies: A New Hope

Vancouver Whitecaps FC are back at BC Place on Saturday and looking to climb the standings when they host Minnesota United FC at 7:30 p.m. PT.

Farhan at Chapters

Book signing - Alphonso Davies: A New Hope

Farhan Devji, author of Alphonso Davies: A New Hope, will be doing a book signing at section 215. Limited copies will also be available for $20.

Built on years of interviews with friends, family, teachers, coaches, and teammates, the book is the first biography of Alphonso Davies, the new face of Canadian men’s soccer and arguably the most famous Canadian athlete on the planet.

Gates

Gates A, C, H, E, G, and the Accessible drop-off/pick-up located along Pacific Boulevard at section 147 will all be open for entry starting at 6:30 p.m. PT. Gates for suite entry will open at 6 p.m. PT.

Kickoff is officially at 7:39 p.m. PT.

$5 Menu!

BC Place has announced a new $5 menu this year, in collaboration with Sodexo Live!, including $5 beer, hot dogs, nachos, and popcorn. Limited-release items may appear on the menu throughout the year.

The $5 Menu is available at Dawson’s Hot Dogs stands at sections 201 and 227.

Kids Combo

The Kids Combo at Dawson's Hot Dogs (214 and 241) is $6.50 for a hot dog, chips, fountain soda.

The Kids Combo at Lions Gate Grill (228 and 254) is $6.50 for chicken strip, fries and fountain soda.

March to the Match

Join the supporters on the March to the Match down Robson street to BC Place.

The march will depart from Dublin Calling at 6:15 p.m. PT, and will also see supporters joining from the Ox Pub on Robson and Granville.

Kid Captain of the Match

Whitecaps FC are honoured to have Sequoia McGuire-Joseph from Girls Who Leap as Kid Captain for this home match against Minnesota United FC. Saturday’s presentation will be alongside the South Sisters supporters group.

Sequoia is proud to represent her Nuu-Chah-Nulth and Jamaican roots through sport and culture. She has competed in soccer, basketball, volleyball, field hockey and track. She represents her Vancity Grizzlies basketball team at Junior All Native Tournaments and has represented Canada in soccer with the Native Indian Football Association in the Dominican Republic. With Girls Who LEAP Society, Sequoia participates in afterschool programs and volunteers in her community. She loves sharing her cultures through sport.

Supporter of the Match

Saturday's Supporter of the Match is Nicki Brown from The South Sisters. 

Nicki, who is traveling in for the match, became a Whitecaps FC supporter in 2014 and has been a core away member of The Sisters since their foundation in 2019. She enjoys the joy, passion, and enthusiasm in the stands, has made lifelong friends, and learned more about soccer than she ever thought she needed to know. With The Sisters, coming to games always feels like coming home.

The Asahi Super Dry Landing provides the perfect atmosphere to kick back with the squad, entertain clients, or enjoy an evening with the family with the best views in BC Place – right behind the player benches!

The last call for alcohol in the stadium will be the 75th minute of the match.

Clear bags/Bag Check

For ease of entry, Whitecaps FC and BC Place recommend you don’t bring a bag to the stadium.

If you do bring a bag, make sure it’s made of clear plastic and smaller than 12”x12”x6”. Exceptions will be made for diaper bags and medically necessary items that do not fit into a clear bag. You can bring one small opaque bag, but it can’t be larger than 6.5”x 8.5”. All bags will be inspected prior to entry.

Mobile entry

All tickets for Whitecaps FC matches are through mobile ticketing, providing a contactless and paperless experience.

Season ticket members and pack holders will need to access their tickets through whitecapsfc.com/accountmanager. Single match buyers will access their tickets through Ticketmaster.

Cashless transactions

In order to reduce the potential for hand-to-hand contact, and to improve the efficiency of payment transactions, BC Place is now a cashless venue.

Concessions and food and beverage vendors will accept all major digital forms of payment including Mobile, Debit Cards, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Cash payments will not be accepted.

There will be a Cash to Card kiosk located at Sec 235 where guests can exchange cash for cards to use at the food and beverage locations throughout the stadium.
