Whitecaps FC Playstation player AgitPower qualified for the 2021 FIFAe World Cup on Saturday, powering past the best competition that North America has to offer. The World Cup will be played from August 6 to 8 in London, England.
The native of Laval, Quebec finished the event as runner-up on Sunday's live broadcast in a penalty kick shootout, taking home $20,000 USD.
The achievement is the second massive accomplishment for the Whitecaps FC eSports team this season, after Alex "Exraa" Gonzalez won the North American Qualifier 1 title in January.
AgitPower kicked off the North American playoffs with a win over fellow Quebecer Bundled Loux11.
Following that he defeated Mexican CRACKHEBER.
Finally, he took victory over D.C. United's KingCJ0 to earn his big moment.
Whitecaps FC recently added AgitPower to the club's emerging eSports powerhouse,
announcing his addition on June 14
